Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.

He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.

- John 16:7,14

In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

- John 14:2-3

  • Complemented - Completed; fulfilled by adding another needed part to complete the whole
  • Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right haild of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

    - Romans 8:34

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

    - Romans 8:26

apple of His eye" (Deuteronomy 32:10). He keeps and preserves His elect (Psalm 121), even before their regeneration. Not one of the elect shall die before being saved (John 17:20).

Spiritual blessings testify of the Spirit's regenerating, con-verting, and indwelling work in the hearts of the saved. The Holy Spirit reveals Christ in the souls of His children. He opens their understanding and enlightens their minds, enabling them to experientially know Christ and His benefits.

Eternal blessings speak of Christ's preparing of places for His people in His Father's house -in heaven.

Christ's work in heaven is complemented by the Holy Spirit's work on earth for His people. While Christ dwells in heaven, preparing a place for His people, the Holy Spirit dwells in His peo-ple, preparing them for that place. While Christ presents His person and work to His Father on behalf of His Church, the Holy Spirit presents Christ in His person and work to the Church. While Christ prays in heaven for all true believers, the Holy Spirit prays on earth, within the hearts of all true believers.

Therefore, Christ's priestly work is perfect and complete. In His Person, He presents the sinner to, and reconciles him with, God. But also, upon the basis of this reconciliation, He returns with His Spirit and presents God to the sinner, reconciling the sinner's will to God's.

Jesus' sacrificing work was completed upon Calvary's cross. His praying work began with man's fall and will continue until the end of the world. Christ's blessing work will continue forever.

Christ's priestly work secures complete restoration for His Church. He sacrificed Himself for His elect, He prays for His elect, and He blesses His elect. Every true believer shall be fully restored through Christ's work.
