and sip of wine represent an entire meal in the Lord's Supper).

Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

    -Exodus 29:20

Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

    -John 13:9-10

5. The Old Testament prophecies foretold of the Messiah who would cleanse by sprinkling (the same as baptism pictures).

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

    - Ezekiel 36:25

So shall He sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at Him; for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

    -Isaiah 52:15

6. The Old Testament prophecies regarding the baptism of the Holy Spirit and their fulfillment were signified by pouring -or anointing (as pictured in baptism).

    But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

    -Acts 2:16-18

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the Word.

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
Then remembered I the Word of the Lord, how that He said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

    -Acts 10:44-45; 11:15-16

If God has chosen to use sprinkling and pouring as signs of His spiritual cleansing, what right does any man have to say that it is not an acceptable mode?

In opposition to sprinkling and pouring, immersionists frequently quote Romans 6:4, "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead

Why are a small piece of bread and one sip of wine sufficient signs in the Lord's Supper? Why are some drops of water a sufficient sign in baptism?

Why is the sprinkling mode more consistent with the simplicity, orderliness, and use of ordinary means, that God has promoted in His worship services and sacrament administration?

Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
