however, the deepest, ultimate fulfillment of this promise remains. All those who, by grace, are obedient to their heavenly Father shall be blessed with long life (eternal life) in the land which the LORD their God shall give them (the heavenly Canaan).

Outwardly, God also confirms the truth of the promise contained in the fifth commandment. God blesses organizations and nations that live in peace and that unitedly respect their proper authorities. He cuts short the life and peace of a nation that defies and rebels against its own government.

Are you daily praying for grace, and striving to walk honorably -to honor God as Father of all; to honor your fathers at home and church; to honor your fathers placed as rulers in government and business; and to honor those who are your fathers in age?

May God grant you the necessary enabling grace, that you may partake in His eternal rewarding grace.

3. What is the fifth commandment?

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee" (Exodus 10:11).
