While everyone should strive to develop as clear a view of eschatology as Scripture allows, yet persons can believe differently in this matter and yet be true Christians. Why?
Is this true of all biblical doctrines? Why not?

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to His

promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

-II Peter 3:10-13

Whose voice then shook thc carth; but now He hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

-Hebrews 12:26-27

The third major view of eschatology is amillennialism. In general, amillennialists believe the following:

    1. The present age shall continue until Christ's second coming. At this time, the resurrection and judgment of all mankind shall take place, the end of this world shall be witnessed, and the eternal age ushered in.

    2. Scripture does not prophesy of a physical kingdom of Christ and a general millennial condition upon earth. Its prophecies, in this regard, are referring to Christ's present spiritual kingdom on earth or His future heavenly kingdom or both. This is the only interpretation of eschatology which does not contradict other portions of Scripture regarding the events of the last days.
