In summary, the Covenant of Grace stands unbreakably and eternally sure in God. All its requirements are fully satisfied in Christ. His people receive all the benefits they stand in need of, both for time and eternity, grace here and eternal life with God hereafter, through their eternal Covenant Head, the Lord Jesus Christ. Everything pertaining to man's entire salvation is contained in the wonderful Covenant of Grace!

A certain man, walking by a large cage of imprisoned birds at an open market, asked the surprised owner the price for purchasing the entire cage of birds. To everyone's astonishment, he bought all the birds.

The people were even more amazed when he then threw open the cage door and let them all fly away!

How did these birds become this man's property? Once the full price for them had been paid and they were his possession, why did he have every right to graciously free them?

In the Covenant of Grace, Jesus Christ agreed to pay the full price for the sins of His people. After payment, to whom do they belong? What similar comparisons can you draw between this story and the Covenant of Grace? How are they different?

As we have seen, the Bible speaks of God's Covenant of Grace as eternal and unbreakable and established only with His elect church, His spiritual seed. However, Scripture also speaks in several places of a relationship to the covenant as being breakable and of the natural seed of the church (all the circumcised or baptized), as being included in a covenant relationship with God.
