God's Covenant of Grace is eternal. The essence of the covenant will be realized in its fullest extent in heaven. There, God will dwell with His people and they will commune forever with Him. There, no sin or separation will interrupt their eternal fellowship. There, the rich promises of the Covenant of Grace will be fully experienced by all true believers without end. include "../doctrineincs/regufont.html"; ?>God's Covenant of Grace is most rich and gracious! In the Covenant of Grace, through Christ its Covenant Head, God grants more to His children than they lost in their first covenant head , Adam, in the Covenant of Works. This gracious truth is shown in the following chart.
The depth of God's grace in the Covenant of Grace is unfathomable. What an indescribable blessing it is to be cut off from Adam and the broken Covenant of Works with its results, and to be implanted into Jesus Christ and the Covenant of Grace with its promises! God's grace is His wonderful, one-sided work of love toward sinners who deserve condemnation instead of salvation. Rev. Hellenbroek defined the Covenant of Grace as "the way by which God through Christ becomes the property of the sinner and by which he in turn becomes the property of God." |
