1. Will man live forever?
No. "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27).
2. Does every part of man die?
No, the soul is immortal. "Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul" (Matt. 10:28).

3. Where can a soul go after death?
Only to one of two places: hell or heaven. "Wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth unto destruction, and many there be which go in thereat; but strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto li/e, and few there be that find it" (Matt. 7:13).

4. Do souls go to heaven or hell immediately after death?
Yes, as we can see in the case of Lazarus and the rich man. The rich man immediately lifted up his eyes in hell, and Lazarus was carried into Abraham's bosom (Luke 16:22-23).

5. Is there a purgatory?
No. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, from henceforth" (Rev. 14:13). The penitent thief went immediately into heaven without passing through purgatory. "Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with Me in paradise" (Luke 23:43).
